Palmer’s Victorian bidhas some merit

Peter Coffield (The Courier, July 4) appears to be anti Palmer.

He didn’t vote for Clive, so Clive should not have a say. There are two solutions to the Westminster system.

Either communism or create a party good enough to stand alone, which is lacking on both sides, mainly from self-inflicted reasons.

He says Mr Palmer is only in for his selfish self, and non caring of pensioners.

Well, he is the only politician I know of that donates his entire political wage back, making it available to charities, which would help pensioners.

He also voted for a carbon tax which would cost his business dearly, albeit a trade-off maybe somewhere.

Do not tell him he is not welcome to stand PUP at our Victorian election as he may end up another balance of power broker, like Geoff Shaw.

Albeit Clive seems to use his own vehicles.

Remember, the Liberals kicked him out, and now they must rue that day.

Be careful of the ones you stand on when ascending the ladder, as they will be waiting when you ultimately come down.
