The Beaudesert man was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital by ambulance with possible fractures to his leg and hand after the crash at 6.50am.

The man had been riding a black Kawasaki motorcycle up the mountain to go to work when he lost control.

North Tamborine Police and the Queensland Ambulance Service were called to the scene.

North Tamborine police senior constable Steve Hargreaves said the road was a known trouble spot and it was important people ride and drive to the conditions.

“Be aware on cold mornings it can be a bit icy with dews and frosts and always be mindful of speeds and roads you are unfamiliar with,” senior constable Hargreaves said.

“We haven’t had a motorcycle crash for a while and this road is notorious for it.”
