Armed robbery at Glenfield cafe

Police are appealing for information after the attempted armed robbery of a café at Glenfield on Friday night.

About 7.50pm a man entered a café on Railway Parade armed with a knife and demanded money from a staff member.

Staff members inside the café ran outside and the man left through a rear door with no property.

Macquarie Fields police were called to the business and established a crime scene.

Detectives would like to speak with a man who they believe may be able to assist with inquiries.

The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his mid 30s, approximately 178 centimetres tall, with a thin build.

He was last seen wearing a black hooded jumper with white writing on the front.
